Staff Interview

Take on the challenge of becoming an e-commerce support specialist from scratch!
We spoke with senior staff working in Da Nang

We sat down with senior staff who joined in July 2025 and started in e-commerce support with no prior experience to candidly ask about the role, workplace atmosphere, and compensation structure.

We are hiring e-commerce support staff. This time, we interviewed three senior members who started this job with no prior experience to address key questions like “Is it really okay without experience?” and “What’s the workplace atmosphere like?”

01 — Job duties and starting with no experience

No experience? No worries! An environment where you can learn from scratch

QWhat kind of work are you doing now?

スタッフAEvery day when I arrive at work, I first greet the sellers and carefully check the history/logs. Next, I update product pages and compress images on a daily basis.

スタッフBI currently manage the website that sells products at SBC. I handle issues as they arise and provide customer support, and I also take care of tasks requested by clients.

スタッフCI mainly manage the shop, responding to chats while observing customers’ purchasing trends to recommend new products; I also edit product pages from time to time.
QDid you have any e-commerce support experience before joining SBC?
A
スタッフANo, none at all.
B
Staff BI had never worked in e-commerce before, so I was very anxious at first. After I started, I received support from the Japanese staff and the Vietnamese manager and learned many things. I also received various instructions from clients and was taught carefully, so I gradually became able to do the job.

Staff CI have never done e-commerce support tasks.
QDid you feel anxious?

Staff AI was anxious at first, but I'm fine now.

Staff BAfter a year, I'm used to the job now, so I have no anxiety at all.

Staff CSince this field is quite new, I was very anxious at first, but once I tried it, I felt it wasn't that difficult. I think it's fine as long as you can speak Japanese.
02 — Workplace environment

A stress-free workplace environment

QWhat's the workplace atmosphere like?

Staff ANo particular problems.
B
Staff BWhen issues arise while working, I can consult with the manager and receive support, so I feel very reassured. I can focus on my work, and I think it's a company with a very good environment.
C
Staff CMy colleagues are kind, and the work rules are well defined. We don't chat much during work hours, so I think it helps improve concentration on the job.
Working hours and breaks:Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.（8:00〜17:00）. Break time is 1 hour.
About time off: Weekends and public holidays are off, so you can secure plenty of personal time. After the probationary period ends, you also receive one paid leave day per month, and any unused portion can reportedly be bought out after six months.

It’s great that Japanese and English skills are clearly reflected in the salary. After becoming a full-time employee, you can aim for a monthly income of 20,000,000 VND or more.

スタッフBI graduated from Takushoku University in Japan and then returned home.
QI’ve heard you’re from various places—is that right?

スタッフAI’m from Ho Chi Minh City. I moved to Da Nang when I was in third grade in elementary school.

スタッフBI’m from Quang Binh Province. It takes about six hours by bus.

05 — For prospective applicants
