1. 배경 및 개편 규모 Background and Scale of the Restructuring

베트남은 현재, 역사상 가장 대규모로 시·군 및 동·면 단위의 행정 개편을 추진하고 있습니다.
목표는 행정 조직을 간소화하고 관리 효율성을 높이며, 지역의 성장 잠재력을 더욱 끌어내는 것입니다.

Vietnam is currently implementing the largest administrative reorganization in its history, particularly at the city, district, commune, and ward levels.
The goal is to simplify administrative structures, enhance management efficiency, and unlock greater regional growth potential.

인구가 가장 많은 도시 Most populous city:

호치민시 (빈즈엉성과 바리아붕따우성 합병) – 약 1,400만 명

Ho Chi Minh City (after merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria–Vung Tau provinces) – approx. 14 million people
 

면적이 가장 큰 성 Largest province by area: :

람동성 (닥농성과 빈투안성 합병) – 24,233㎢ 이상

Lam Dong Province (after merging with Dak Nong and Binh Thuan) – over 24,233 km²

 

중앙직할시 중 면적이 가장 큰 도시 Largest centrally governed city by area: :

다낭시 (광남성과 합병) – 11,859㎢ 이상

Da Nang City (after merging with Quang Nam) – over 11,859 km²
 

인구가 가장 적은 성 Least populous province: :

 
라이짜우성 – 512,601명

Lai Chau Province – 512,601 people


 

면적은 가장 작지만 인구 밀도가 높은 성 Smallest province by area but with highest population density: :

흥옌성 (타이빈성과 합병) – 1㎢당 1,400명 이상

Hung Yen Province (after merging with Thai Binh) – over 1,400 people/km²

 

가장 많은 성 및 시와 접경한 성 Province bordering the most other provinces/cities: :

 
푸토성 – 라오까이, 닌빈, 손라, 타이응우옌, 탄호아, 뚜옌꽝, 하노이 등 총 7개 단위와 접경

Phu Tho Province – borders 7 units: Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang, and Hanoi
